Performance management

GJR Consulting specialises in designing and implementing performance management systems which demonstrate to business stakeholders the commercial benefit of Place Management. The process firstly encompasses a review of current activities (a standstill position) and how the outputs are measured and communicated to business and secondly the design of a measurement model to add value to that already in place and re-engineer where appropriate. The process incorporates:

  • Independent assessment of performance
  • Quantitative and qualitative key performance indicators
  • Measurement undertaken on 3 levels:
  • Prove what is done, is done well
  • Show the activities add value
  • Demonstrate commercial benefit
  • Effective communication of results to targeted audiences
  • Future targets based on business issues identified

In order to measure performance over time a baseline is required from which to identify progress or otherwise. This process incorporates a review of the position prior to commencing any initiative and the setting of a clear benchmark today for measurement in the future which will provide tangible data from which progress can be demonstrated to business stakeholders.

Having completed the review a key ingredient of the ongoing process is re-positioning or replacing current projects with ones which deliver clear commercial benefit, and thus attract business support. Ongoing implementation incorporates the measurement of agreed key performance indicators, putting into place effective and time efficient monitoring processes and a programme of communication.
