Stakeholder management

Having established a strong presence in the area, inholborn is seeking to explore how it might add further value to Holborn and its constituents by embracing an area to its west, towards St Giles Circus. This area lacks identity and good retail, has significant street environment and infrastructure issues and would benefit from the re-generation a business led initiative would bring. The extension would increase the influence of inholborn, improve its ability to facilitate transport and public realm improvement and deliver economies of scale and management efficiencies.

Strategically there is significant activity in the area; the development of Crossrail; changes to traffic flows on Tottenham Court Road and its immediate surroundings; public transport improvements; and developments in the built environment. Operationally crime and anti-social behaviour continue to be a problem which affects not only St Giles and its hinterland but its surrounding streets including those managed by inholborn. Greater focus will deliver measureable benefits to both the existing and extended area.

GJR Consulting undertook a study to analyse the feasibility of developing an expanded model and identify the most effective manner in which to drive it forward. The study provided the means by which, business consultation is now being undertaken and a momentum being built behind the project. The work helped to identify potential funding streams to help further develop the project.
